What are Kamishibas?
Kamishibas are very special, intelligent draconic animals, with strong and flexible bodies, and ear-like 'wings' on either side of their head. They move much like felines, are covered in fur (never scales), and their tails are never the same length as their body.
Average Kamishibas and Lopdiemis Kamishibas lifespan are about 70 to 100 years, with the first 2 years of their life spent in their infant stage. 3 years to 20 years is considered the adolescent stage for the species, and 20-100 in adulthood. Elemental Gravity type Kamishibas have the same lifespan as an average Kami with the difference that they reincarnate (the element keeps the same but the appearance change); there could be the option that they go into a deep slumber instead. Astral Subspecies lifespan could be up to 160 or a little bit more; they can reincarnate if something happened to them, they could return as an infant, teen, or adults (it depends on them); they have a mission so they will return. Ancestral Subspecies lifespan is around the same as Astral or a little bit longer; however, if something happened to them, they wait until their Chinese Zodiac year to reincarnate again; however their year element change according to that year. Guardians and Pure Lopdiemis are ageless. Kamishibas were created by Mad-Izoku |
※ WHERE DO KAMISHIBAS COME FROM?
Kamishibas are messengers sent from Heaven to Earth, with a special mission that they aren't specifically aware of. Most don't have any urge to find their mission, however; they just have a sense that they need or are missing something in their life.
Their missions can be anything. They could be tasked to be a companion for a certain human or individual, they could spend their lives in social gatherings or quiet contemplations, or they could help others or make wishes closer to coming true. Large or small, the Kamishiba always has a purpose.
Sometimes, they are born from eggs naturally on Earth from Kamishiba parents, though they also can appear seemingly randomly in the world with no knowledge of who they are, where they are, their names, or their past. However, these two ways are not the only ways to find one of the Kamishiba species.
Occasionally, when a living being (generally a human being) has a strong wish or desire, and either pray for that wish or writes it on a special sort of paper, a mysterious Temple will appear nearby, and the person's desire will have transformed into a special Kamishiba egg to be found inside. The egg isn't left unguarded to any who may pass, though. A mysterious entity guards the egg and temple; this entity cannot be seen or approached and wears a large coat to help hide from view. When the person whose desire created the Kamishiba approaches, it will allow the person to take the egg. But if there is an intruder whose wishes did not create the Kamishiba or summon the temple, that intruder will instead find themselves at the mercy of the temple, and never again will they see their own home or time.
Kamishibas know nothing about the temple or the mysterious 'Entity' that resides within it.
Kamishiba eggs are almost perfect, shining white when they're laid, but this color changes after the first few days depending on the environment or the care taken of the egg while it incubates. After three months of favorable conditions, a normal Kamishiba egg will hatch (Astral Kamishiba eggs have different incubation lengths).
Most Kamishibas are born from good intentions and desires, but there is always another Kamishiba that appears to keep the balance of the universe. If a Kamishiba is born from powerful goodwill, there will be a Kamishiba of powerful bad will also be created, though not always within the same time or space.

※ BEHAVIOR
Highly intelligent, Kamishibas are well able to rationalize and think on a similar level as human beings and can solve most problems quickly when presented with them. Because of this intelligence, Kamishibas are usually kind creatures and rarely attack unless provoked. When they are provoked, they have a vast array of useful natural weapons such as sharp teeth, strong tails, and claws, and they have little reserve about using them. They're known to be possessive of their belongings, much like the dragons of lore, and it isn't recommended to try and take anything away from them.
Though they are naturally omnivores, most Kamishibas feel remorse when it comes to killing small animals for food, and tend to lean toward a fruit and vegetable diet. As they are particularly clean creatures and dislike getting dirty, this fits within their preferred lifestyle. Kamishibas will spend a great deal of their time on personal grooming, and can often be found cleaning their fur or between their paw pads. Maybe because of this, Kamishibas can be comfortable living anywhere, from the wild to a home with companions (humans or not). Most prefer warm weather to cold, but there are exceptions. |
Kamishibas could live in small or big cities, villages, forests, lands, and some of them underwater. They could live on their own, or with groups, stay at a certain place, or travel all the time. Each Kamishiba decides the lifestyle they want to have.
They know nothing of religion, and though they are messengers sent from Heaven, they are aware of next to nothing about it. Kamishiba only holds a sense of gratefulness toward whatever is being created for them. Some Kamishibas are born with innate abilities related to the desire that created them and seek to use these powers for their intended purpose. An example is the Kamishiba Mirakel, whose birth desire was 'To be loved by someone very special. When Mirakel is near anyone who is arguing, the bitterness of the argument will decrease and often those in the fight will part on better terms. (This also means that somewhere, there is a Kamishiba that makes bitter feelings grow by being around others as a balance in the universe.) Kamishibas as social beings can live in harmony with other different species, which can also travel and live at Aurora Land Dimension without any problem. |
